OUR MISSION

IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE HOME AND SUPPORT FOR THOSE WE HELP TRANSITION OUT OF HOMELESSNESS, AIDING IN THEIR HEALTING AND JOURNEY TO RECLAIM THEIR LIVES
At the end of the journey out of homelessness, independent living entails maintaining a safe living space, good physical and mental health, a stable sense of self and the ability to tackle life’s challenges.
We believe that safe housing is a fundamental right. No one should be discriminated against, stigmatized, excluded because of their life circumstances or personal characteristics. Each person has the right to make their own choices and should be supported (not forced) to make decisions, especially regarding ending crisis situations.

OUR STORY

THE HOUSED FOUNDATION WAS CEATED BY A TEAM THAT SPENT THREE YEARS IMPLEMENTING THE ‘HOUSING FIRST’ PROJECT UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE COFUND FOUNDATION.
We decided to continue our work for people struggling with homelessness, implementing the the housing first methodThese three years created impressive results that confirmed the effectiveness of this method in successfully battling homelessness and gave a fresh perspective on methods to eradicate homelessness.
Since 2019 we’ve been implementing the housing first method, which is based on the idea of housing being the first step to transitioning out of homelessness. A home isn’t a prize, it’s a right,a place where a person struggling with homelessness can finally recover and start making decisions in a safe space regarding life changes that may put an end to homelessness. We support them along the way and have an 80 percent success rate for this process.
UP UNTIL 2022, 80% OF OUR CLIENTS REMAINED IN THEIR APARTMENTS AND OVER HALF OF THEM BECAME INDEPENDENT RENTERS.
